Martin Bergen (October 25, 1871 – January 19, 1900) was an American professional baseball player who murdered his family before slicing his own throat. From 1896 to 1899 he played in 344 games with the Boston Beaneaters of Major League Baseball, 337 of them as their catcher. Bergen helped the Beaneaters to National League pennants in 1897 and 1898, as well as a second-place finish in 1899.
