Konstantin Ustinovich Chernenko [a] (Russian: Константин Устинович Черненко; Ukrainian: Костянтин Устинович Черненко, romanized: Kostiantyn Ustynovych Chernenko; 24 September 1911 – 10 March 1985)[2] was a Soviet politician and the seventh General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. He briefly led the Soviet Union from 13 February 1984 until his death on 10 March 1985.
