She has represented Cabravale Ward since the 2012 local government election. After arriving in Australia in 1979 as an 11-year-old refugee of the Vietnam War who did not speak English, Le became an ABC journalist and politician, and was named as one of the 100 most influential Australian women in 2014.[1]
