Den største undergruppe er spindlere (Arachnida), der består af edderkopper, mejere, skorpioner, mider, mosskorpioner, solifuger, piskeskorpioner og et par mindre grupper. Til klosaksdyrene hører også havedderkopper og dolkhaler samt den uddøde gruppe havskorpioner.
